The Owen R. Hopkins Public Library serves a 2010 Census population of 30,739 on the northwest side of Corpus Christi.Â We also provide service to the surrounding communities outside the city limits.Â With approximately 12,500 square feet of space and 60,000 items, the library provides materials for all ages and interests.
Monday: 10:00am - 8:00pm
Tuesday: 10:00am - 9:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00am - 8:00pm
Thursday - Saturday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
The Hopkins Library is named after Owen R. Hopkins, a professor who worked with CCPL to set up an exhibit of fossils.Â This special collection of bones is on display in the children’s area.Â How do you measure up to the leg we have on display?
There is another special collection at the Hopkins Library, the Clif Moss Nature Education Center. The Moss Center provides library materials, exhibits and programs which educate the community about the natural history of South Texas and Texas, past and present.
